Our favourite red wine recipes: part 1

As you’ve probably figured out by now, we’re rather big fans of red wine, particularly when it’s been through one of our crafty wine aerators, having breathed and become ready for consumption and for full enjoyment of its full and rich flavours. But it’s not just a regular glass of red we like, oh no. We also love cooking with red wine, and in our new two-part blog series, we share some of our favourite recipes with you, beginning with mulled wine.
You’ll need:
1 bottle red wine
60g grams of Demerara sugar
A cinnamon stick
Some grated nutmeg
1 orange, cut into chunks
What you need to do: Put the wine in a large saucepan, along with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and the sugar. Gently heat the mixture until the sugar is dissolved; try it, and add more to your taste. Once everything’s nice and hot, it’s ready to serve!
